“Had an amazing private group session with Alison for my birthday! She was instructive and a lot of fun with our spirited group. I will definitely be going back to her studio for another lesson.”

“My husband and I went to Alison’s class for the first time! We loved trying to create 2 small pieces. The class was 5 adults. Alison was a great teacher and showed us every step along the way. She jumped right in when help was needed. We loved sharing a creative experience. A nice thing to do that’s fun and different.”

Introducing “The Claymobile”
It started as an idea in Summer 2020 that seemed unrealistic: A mobile pottery studio? How?? But sometimes an idea just keeps growing until it can’t be ignored.
In Spring 2022, I finally took the leap and bought a very basic black box cargo trailer. I saw it as a blank canvas. Others may have seen it as an eye sore. I cut, sawed, sanded, painted, and made many trips to hardware stores. My wheels were a bit neglected those few weeks, but it was worth it. The mobile studio, referred to as the ClayMobile, was complete. It was everything I imagined; unique, quirky, creative, and all mine.
I am incredibly excited to take her out to events across Long Island, teaching clay workshops, giving kids and adults a taste of the art form that I love so much.
The Claymobile has appeared everywhere from people’s homes to businesses that want to bring a pottery party to their establishment. We can be frequently spotted at Secatogue Brewing Company and Farmingdale State College.

“Got our hands dirty for our 19th wedding anniversary and it was incredibly gratifying. Our teacher, Alison, can be simply described as gezellig. Totally personable and friendly… The studio could easily accommodate 8-10 people comfortably. The background music was spot on. It made everyone feel relaxed and free to create. For a different kind of date night I wholeheartedly recommend Alison's Pottery On Wheels. I look forward to going again.”
